Introduction
Stella (Yichen) Pan, originally from Shanghai, China, is a multimedia artist studying at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she majors in Cognitive Science (specialization in computing) and Design Media Arts.
Her practice explores the intersections of psychological phenomena, interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships, and the potentials and repercussions of technology, working across traditional painting, new media art, and programming. She is particularly interested in transforming intangible human emotions and experiences, as well as complex neurological processes, into works that resonate with audiences on a visceral level. This website documents her artistic growth from high school through her college years.
